We recently sat down with Mrs. Vanessa Buffat, Member of the Board at Orchidées Constructions SA and asked her about the relationship between Vitrocsa and WIB:
How did you hear about WIB SA?
“About fifteen years ago, Mr. Joray (Vitrocsa founder) met the director of WIB at an event. They exchanged ideas on their respective products, and since then we’ve been working together”.
Why did you choose WIB SA?
“First of all, it was proximity that brought us to WIB. Bearings are at the heart of all our products and their applications. At WIB we found competent people who listened to our needs”.
What projects have you developed with WIB?
“For our Turnable Corner application, a system that allows glasses to be turned in corners so that they can be concealed in a dedicated area, thus freeing up the entire space, we needed an exclusive bearing system. As a customer of WIB, we thought it would be a good idea to collaborate with them on this bearing system.
What’s more, as our products are installed all over the world, we needed bearings capable of withstanding all climatic environments. As a result, all our applications, from sliding to guillotines, are fitted with WIB bearings”.
What was your relationship with WIB SA like during the project?
“The development of the bearing system for our Turnable Corner required a long collaboration between our two companies in order to arrive at a satisfying solution. This collaboration also took place in parallel with our partner in Australia, for whom this system represents a large share of the market. Today, we are delighted to be able to offer a reliable system that has been in operation for many years”.
What advantages have you found in working with WIB SA?
“Swiss quality is essential to us. As already mentioned, bearings are at the heart of our various products. Therefore, we need to be able to rely on the highest quality in order to preserve the reputation of our products”.
